Announcements

(For Sunday, February 19th) 

Diaper Shower:  We will be having a diaper shower for Nevaeh Rae-Ann Hill, daughter of Cherakee Yonkin and  Robert Hill born on January 20th.  Grandparents are Lisa and Randy Weikel and Great Grandparents are Helen and Bruce Hoover.  Place your diapers in the basinet in the narthex.

            Christian Classics, Roll & Bowl Night, Tuesday, February 21st at 6:00 p.m.  We are getting together to share in a variety of bowls of delicious soup and crusty rolls.  You are also invited to enjoy a selection of desserts.  If you are 55+ come and bring a friend.

            If you have palms from last Palm Sunday, bring them to the Pastor’s Office by February 19th so they can be used as ashes for Ash Wednesday on February 22nd.

            Ash Wednesday Service on February 22 at 7:00 pm will include communion and the imposition of ashes.

            Attention College Students and Parents:  If you are a college student or the parent of a student, please notify the church office of any change in address due to travel or internships. You can do so by putting a slip of paper in the offering plate or by calling the church office at 743-7303.  Please have these changes submitted by March 11, 2012.

            Attention:  The Chancel Choir will be performing a cantata at the Good Friday Worship Service on April 6th at 7:00 p.m.  You are invited to join us for this special event.  Rehearsals are 8:00 - 8:30 Wednesday evenings. 

            Salads:  The Uganda Team will be making chef salads on Thursday, March 8th.  Cost:  $5.50.  Orders are due on Wednesday, February 29th.  Sign up on the sheet on the office window.

            Attention All Sunday School Teachers:   Jamie Waters, the Director of Education, is asking for all Sunday School teachers to meet with her on Sunday, February 26th at 2 pm in the church library.  Light refreshments will be served following the meeting.

            Needed:  Pint jars with lids for the Uganda Team, for their homemade salad dressing.  Place jars in the box in the multi-purpose room.

            Soup & Sandwich Sale:  The Uganda Team will be making Beef Vegetable & Corn Chowder soups and Ham & Cheese sandwiches for March 11th.    Soup is $5.00 a quart and sandwiches are $2.50 each.  Orders may be placed on the sign-up sheets on the office window by March 4th. 

            Thanks to all who participated in the Hoss's night for the Uganda Mission. We had 33 tickets turned in and over $900 in sales. Hoss's gave us 20% which totaled $190.11 We so appreciate your support! We are hoping to have another Hoss's night in April. Details to come.

            VBS:  An organizational meeting for this year’s Vacation Bible School will be held on Monday, February 27th.  Everyone is welcome.

            Reminder:  All group are asked not to served red drinks as they stain the carpet.
