Our AWANA program is in need of 1-2 leaders for the program for the upcoming year.  At a high-level, the leaders are responsible for promoting the  program, recruiting teachers and volunteers, ensuring the evening goes smoothly and supporting the teachers.  AWANA helps children learn about God and touches many children both in and outside of our church walls.  If you’re interested in learning more, please see Pastor Randy or Melissa Apanel.

The Trustees have decided to hire a lawn service for the church for the season.  The church lawnmower needed to be replaced.  A financial comparison was done on the costs associated with purchasing a new mower (plus gas and maintenance) versus the cost of the lawn service.  After comparing the costs and determining both were relatively equal long term, the trustees put the decision to vote and it was decided to use a lawn service for the season and revisit the discussion in the fall.  The service will be responsible for mowing, trimming and preventing weeds at both the church and the parsonage. The Trustees would like to graciously thank those that  have helped with mowing in the past.

On-line Giving:   Sunday mornings tend to be hectic.  With all the hustle and bustle, how many times have you sat down at church only to realize that you forgot your checkbook.  Or your giving envelopes. Or both.  Never have to worry about this again!  Did you know you have the ability to give your offering online – the money can be pulled from your account automatically each week.  You decide the frequency and the amount; then money will automatically be deducted from your bank account.  Simply go to our church website – ccumchurch.org – and click on the blue “Give Online” button. Create a user profile, designate your giving and frequency and you’re all set!
