Randy is an Ordained Elder currently appointed to Christ Community United R Bennett Updated Pic 2Methodist Church in Selinsgrove, PA (2012). Randy received his Master of Divinity degree from the Evangelical Seminary in Myerstown, PA (2009). Randy previously served as Pastor of Paxtonville United Methodist Church in Paxtonville, PA (2007-2012) and Trinity United Methodist Church in New Freedom, PA (2005-2007). In addition to his appointment as pastor, Randy began serving as the Worship Director for the Susquehanna Annual Conference in 2013. This position is responsible for organizing meaningful worship experiences for United Methodist clergy and laity of central and northeastern Pennsylvania. Additionally, Randy serves as a volunteer Chaplain for the Pennsylvania State Police, Troop F.

Randy is a native of Johnson City, Tennessee, and a 1994 graduate of Science Hill High School. Randy is a formally trained musician, having earned his Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance, as well as a Master of Music Education degree in Choral Conducting from East Tennessee State University (2000, 2002). Additionally, Randy studied music at the prestigious College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati on a full-tuition scholarship.

Prior to entering pastoral ministry, Randy served in full-time music ministry at Zion United Methodist Church in York, PA (2002-2005). Some of Randy’s accomplishments include: Regional finalist for the National Association of Teacher’s of Singing Competition, Graduate Division; 1st Chair Trumpet, Tennessee All-State Band (1994); soloist with the Johnson City Symphony, Johnson City Civic Chorale, The ETSU Men’s Ensemble, Chorale, and Opera Workshop, the Lake Junaluska Singers, the Munsey Memorial UMC Chancel Choir, and the York Oratorio Society. Additionally, Randy earned the Eagle Scout Award in 1990, and received an Honorable Discharge with a service-connected injury from the United States Marine Corps in 1996 as a Bandsman.

Randy married Aime Martin Bennett (formerly of Dublin, VA) on June 17, 2000. Together they are raising their daughters Madisyn (2004) and Haley (2005).
